The home was spacious and with 6 of us it did not feel closed in as some places do. Also, we arrived and found a broken coffee carafe. Susan came early the next morning with a new coffee pot, a welcome sight for avid morning coffee drinkers. She was on it! Thanks Susan.

We loved our stay here. The house is excellent and access to the river was ideal. We will be back!

Fabulous place!!!

We booked Susan's place to go scalloping in Homosassa this summer with our kids and another family with kids. The place fit our two families perfectly with plenty of extra linens and towels. The boat slip is steps from the house, which made packing up the boat so easy. The river it is located on has several awesome restaurants and a marina nearby for gas and anything you need. Also there is a Publix super closeby and a Walmart that delivers, which is great. The driive out to the channel in the gulf was gorgeous and we even encoutered a pod of over 30 dolphins on an early evening cruise right at the beginning of the gulf off the river. We loved the neighborhood and hopefully can book it and a few other houses for more friends to join next summer. 5 Stars!

Great place for the family!

Great option for a large family or two families like we did. We rented a pontoon and tied up at dock that was steps away from the back porch then headed out on the water. Visited the 7 Sisters and The Crack fresh water springs and saw tons of manatees, which was a short drive away in Chassahowitzka but we also saw a manatee and other wildlife while kayaking from “home.” Also drove up to Fort Island Beach for a beach day. Another day was spent blueberry picking and “caving” at the Peace Cave. Multiple restaurants either walking distance or minutes away. Publix and Walgreens also right around the corner.

Really enjoyed Susan’s home. We had myself, my parents, my 3 daughters and our 2 dogs and had plenty of room. I was really glad that there was a beautiful master suite on main floor so my parents did not have to climb stairs( the only stairs they climbed was to get into the house from outside). My daughter and I took the kayaks out and had a really great time! The launch is in the backyard. We felt very safe walking in the neighborhood. There is construction right next door, but they did not start until 0900 in the morning. There are so many great seafood restaurants in the area! And so many beautiful parks!! We will definitely be back again!!Thank you Susan!

We had a great stay here. It was as pictured and had all the amenities. Very clean with plenty of space. Owner was very very responsive. She even upgraded the cable so we could watch the NCAA basketball tournament.

Absolutely loved our comfy, fun stay here! What a treat!! So cool to be able to walk to the water! And to have kayaks available!

Susan was very quick, accommodating, and helpful to our team while on assignment in providing hurricane disaster restoration work. She was very prompt to respond to via messages from the other side of the country and in helping us book our lodging. We were unsure of how long our duration of stay was going to be and she helped us extend our trip, headache-free, so our team could focus on the work they we providing to others. We highly recommend staying at any of Susan's properties because it isn't just about the place which was fantastic, but also about the customer service, which was top-notch. Thank you!

We enjoyed having the slip on the water. The host provided so many extras. It was nice to not have to worry about TP, dish soap, laundry detergent etc. The grill was out of propane so we did have to fill that up. We didn't enjoy the construction next door waking us up at 7:15am on Sat. but that is not the host's fault. I was surprised the HOA allowed the contractors to work that early during the weekend. The private security gate entrance is nice to have as well since we had our boat parked overnight. Great timely responses from the host. The place was nice and clean and very roomy. We enjoyed the provided games as well.

Had a great stay

This was our second time coming here and it was just as excellent as the first! We love having the boat ramp and the dock and easy access to the river and the springs. we came here with our family and some extended family and had plenty of room. there was 10 of us total and we weren't cramped at all. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything we needed to make dinners. We look forward to coming again next year!

We had a wonderful time, being able to have our boat docked right outside was a huge plus! Just about 10 minutes by boat to the beautiful, refreshing springs for swimming. Very spacious beautiful villa.

Jennifer and Susan were super responsive and great communicators! The house was great and we couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend!

Jennifer is a wonderful host and her place was just right for our family’s stay! It was clean, very well-appointed, beautiful and in a lovely location. Our family enjoyed the pool, fishing off the dock, and eating at great restaurants within 5 miles. She was very responsive, hospitable and kind. We highly recommend her place and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We had a girls trip and headed down to see manatees. We had plenty of room and were so close to every thing we wanted to do. We had a wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this home. It was very comfortable and in a great location. Kayaking with the manatees was certainly a great experience as well!

Great host and home

We (two couples and two widows over 60) have been going on a yearly kayaking road trip and I have to admit, this home surpassed our expectations. We have a ‘chef’ so we eat in and he was very pleased with the kitchen and the well stocked cabinets of utensils and pots and pans. It was great having the 4 bedrooms and 3 baths and there was plenty of hot water for showers once we came back from our paddle. The location was great for kayaking the ‘Chaz’ River and we just had to carry our kayaks to the boat ramp right out the back door to kayak on the Homosassa River which we found very convenient. We loved the open floor plan and the screened-in porch; the living room furniture accommodated 4 (sofa/1 chair) so we just pulled 2 chairs over from dining table. There were a few things that we brought to Susan’s attention for the handyman to take care of once we checked out but nothing that interfered with our stay. If we return to the area, this is definitely on our list.

The Tradewinds is a beautiful place to stay if your wanting to be in the Nature Coast of Florida. Jennifer’s place was perfect for all my family to stay in. It’s right on the water so if you want to kayak you can also go ahead and do that. The only downfall (that has nothing to do with Jennifer at all) is that they are building new homes in this location and construction crew started pounding away at 7am which woke everyone up. This is a perfect place to stay very well kept and I would absolutely rent again from her the next time family comes into town. Felt like we where just in our own home.

Don’t hesitate to stay here! Wonderful, clean, spacious home that is well stocked for all your needs. We especially loved kayaking to Homosassa springs. My absolute favorite are the Manatees that were there in abundance. Thank you, Jennifer for allowing us to stay in your home. We will be back!

Perfect home for my grown family to meet up for christmas. Very spacious, clean, and quiet. Lots of hiking/ running trails through beautiful old florida. Loved the warm springs, kayaking, and seeing the manatees. The kitchen was awesome, the beds were comfortable, and both the screened porch and the front porch were perfect spots to read and visit. The weather was great!

Great Stay great access to the River. Great waterside places but many closed on Mon.Tues. Felt secure inside and out.The garbage issue at the dump site or community cans is in acceptable. Other wise perfect nice to see the walkway being repaired . Thanks for asking.Bill

Our stay was great. Jennifer communicated well and responded quickly to any questions we had. The house was just as shown in the pictures. Everything was clean when we arrived and worked well. Having the boat launch and slip was awesome. Only downside was the no wake zone for the first and last 45 minutes of the fishing trip, which is not Jennifer's fault at all! Lots of fun bars/restaurants along the river to pull up to in the boat.The town itself was pretty quiet, not many dinner choices, but close to Crystal River which had many more spots to choose from.We toured the Homosassa manatee and wildlife park which was terrific and well worth the entrance fee. Overall, this is a great house with a super host. Thanks for letting us use your house to celebrate our birthday weekend!

I have stayed at several homes at the Tradewinds in the last 8 years. This by far was the most accommodating. Just to name a few…master bed/pillows very comfortable. I have had several very uncomfortable in others. Supplies; I know usually you have to bring your own, which I always do but it was nice to not run out of paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, hand soap, dish soap, etc for a short weekend getaway. Plenty of towels, pillows, sheets if needed. Laundry detergent in case you needed to do a quick load of laundry. As far as the home it was very spacious, the master bedroom had a beautiful seating area which if with small children would be great extra space. Plenty of seating for eating with a large group. The dock that was supplied was very large compared to others on site with easy access and very close to the home. I would definitely choose this home again when staying at Tradewinds.

We enjoyed our stay and we were impressed with the home. The house is a perfect vacation home. Everything we needed was there and well organized. I honestly can’t say enough great things about Homosassa! Our family loves our scallop trip every year. The house is in a great location close to the restaurants on the water and easy boat ride to the springs. The springs is a great way to end the day after scalloping. The ramp at the house is good so you don’t have to fight the public boat ramps, dock slip is a great size. The house makes our trip coming to Homosassa so much easier! The host is great and answers back very quickly.

The home was a good location for our vacation. Gated and easy to launch boat. Boat slip fit our 23' jet boat, but no water or power at dock. The host was very communicative. We had a minor issue at check in that she handled immediately and thoroughly. The house was very spacious and accommodating for our family of 4.

My family and I had a great time staying at this beautiful condo. There was plenty of room for six adults and four kids. We loved having access to the boat ramp and boat dock and it made our scalloping trip that much more memorable. Host was responsive immediately and address any concerns we had promptly. Having access toa community pool was a bonus. Would love to stay here again!

This beautiful town-home met all of our expectations and Jennifer/Susan was always responsive and helpful. The kayaks came in handy, and were easy to maneuver. There was a lot of walking areas around the property. Beautiful waterway, dock/boardwalk to walk on. Loved the gas stove as we cooked a lot. Bathrooms were nice and spacious. Highly recommend.

A very spacious home with a terrific location! Loved being right on the canal -- perfect for a family with a boat. 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths meant that everyone in our group got their own bedroom and bathroom. The screened-in back porch is perfect for that morning cup of coffee or evening beverage. Well-stocked kitchen. Check-in and checkout were a breeze. We enjoyed a morning airboat ride with Ozella Boats -- lots of fun. Homosassa State Park was also enjoyable.

The house was great. We really enjoyed our stay. Worth the extra money being on the water with a community pool, private boat ramp and not fighting that traffic. The slip held both our 24ft boat and my brothers 18ft boat. Hoses by the dock to rinse the boats out. The house was pretty kid friendly, and had a pack n play there. A few games there to play also for rainy times. Close to the restaurants on the water and a nice ride down to the springs. Already booked for next year!

Awesome place! Clean and comfortable. It is a townhouse which I wasn’t prepared for, but was still totally lovely!

The home was beautiful. The slip was easy access to the gulf and the spring. We truly had a great time.

Place was great, we were there to scallop. There was plenty of room for everyone and the water pressure was great and they ac kept the whole house nice and cool. We have a 26 ft center console. The slip was big enough but didn’t use the ramp. Went down to mccraes. Plenty of smaller boats used the ramp, it’s steap and a little short. We will definitely try and go back.

Great location! Great place. Plenty of space and the common areas are wide open. Right on the water and the boat slip fit two of our 18ft skiffs with no issues. We will absolutely rent here again!

Great home in the heart of everything Homosassa has to offer! It was convenient having our boat steps from the back porch to head out in everyday & a hose to run fresh water through the motor after being out in the gulf. The home is spacious & worked great for our family. The host provides 4 kayaks in the garage and we LOVED using them! We caught a TON of blue crab off the dock, enough to make a massive blue crab feast on our last day. The boys played basketball while the girls laid out at the pool. We saw manatees every single day in the canal & the resident baby 3ft alligator (we named him Alex) who hung out by the slips. We even saw a pair of otters pop their heads up to say hi at the dock! A short boat ride to The Freezer & Crumps Landing for amazing dinners & gorgeous sunsets. Speaking of sunsets…hello gorgeous sunset pics from the dock!!! As a former Superhost & super picky/critical guest of other Airbnb’s, lets just say we have already booked for next year!

The house is lovely! The location, the amenities, the boat dock, were perfect. There wasn’t anything that we needed, that wasn’t already there. Check out was so simple too! I hate pulling sheets, but don’t mind doing towels at all. Hope to come again in the future.
